2º INTERNATIONAL SCULPTURE SYMPOSIUM

The hotel complex "Chistie Prudi", near the city of Penza, about 650 km. south of Moscow, is organizing the second international sculpture symposium, with specialists in different materials: marble, wood and metal.
The hotel, situated in picturesque surroundings on the banks of a lake with private beach and pier, has comfortable facilities with indoor pool, sauna, jacushi, and a park where you can admire the sculptures made the previous year.
Of 460 projects submitted from 55 different countries, were selected 56. It is the largest meeting of celebrated sculptors worldwide.
Work Period: From August 25 to September 15, 2009.
My project done "Maja" is a personal stylization of Goya's famous painting, exhibited at the Prado Museum, known around the world, especially the naked version. I wanted to highlight here the sensuality of the figure, leaving guess, according to legend, the relacción passion between the painter and his model.
Size made in white marble from Ukraine, 2.6 meters long.
Is already part of the hundred sculptures that make up this veritable museum of international outdoor sculpture.
