"Pantha Rei"

Wilkendorf, Deutschland

In Wilkendorf, on the outskirts of Berlin, was celebrated the 5. international sculpture symposium in wood outdoors “Pantha Rei ", in the study of German sculptor Wolfgang Stübner, a great place to work in full nature.

This is a private initiative supported by various sponsors.

There are frequent visits of young people, organized by different schools as part of their educational program, where you ask questions to the artists and learn to use different tools.

Work Period: From April 23 to May 3, 2010.

My project realized "moons’s play” is a personal composition, where two elements in the shape of moon, are confronted - interlaced, looking for an aesthetic game between soft rounded surfaces, edges, different ruggednesses and the hole - space between both bodies. Though it is an abstract composition, I want that he remembers the traditional sculptures on the lovers, the embrace, the kiss....

Carved from a maple tree 260 cm. long and 85 cm. in diameter.

Sculptors selected:

Thierry Lauwers (Belgium), Preben Chabert y Søren Cip Nielsen (Denmark), Tanja Röder (Germany), Jozsef Lukacs (Hungary), Kristina Yosifova (Bulgaria), Özgür Turhan y Yildiz Güner (Turkey), Eyal Bloch (Israel), Leto / Markus Meyle (Suitzerland) y Pedro Jordán (Spain).
